My original evaporator is also holding just fine, 349k miles on my
'87 wagon. My '95 sedan is the leaker, it has about 358k miles.

Which tells me that MB still didn't get it right by the end of production.
to me, that makes a stronger argument for the 4 seasons....
Max, do you know for sure the evap was never changed before you got
the white whale?
