Depends on how you define dangerous. Pipelines leak and spill oil, one of the
big concerns the Keystone folks tried to ignore in Nebraska was sensitive
ecosystems. They claimed their poop don't stink...

The important thing is that rail transport of petroleum is dangerous. Look
at the number of disasters this has caused. Pipeline is much safer. The oil
will be moved somehow.
