Try the milestar and give us a report in 40k miles.
Hankook: Kooky name for a tire. The name is a turn off. The light
truck sizes are sometimes good.
Toyo, I had some on the escort (Diesel content) fast wear and
slipped belts No mo...
Michelin: overpriced, slipped belts, have to throw them out when half
worn, so they end up costing 4x as much. The rubber in michelins
used to be noticeably better than other brands as far as lasting
years without cracking. The truck tires were the best carcass for
retreading. Their car tars suck.
Have cooper CS4s now on the van, but they are discontinued. We'll
see how they do.
Was looking at cooper on discount tire direct for the SDL. Saw the
cheaper house brand, but was going for a name brand. Too bad the
contis are so expensive now. Every conti I have had was good. Never
had a failure. (but those were mostly German tires. Then seemed to
get more expensive after they bought general and are made in USA.)
My #1 son has had good luck with several sets of Coopers
Had some various no name chinee tars. Nothing but trouble.
The Czechoslovakian contis sounded interesting.
Hankook get raves in LA. Just put four on.
I'm a toyo fan and they are really cheap on ebay.
Michelin on the family car. Guess those baby ads worked.

I have 4 vehicles I need to order new tires for. One of which is one of
my 210 cars. I have pretty much decided to always stick with Michelins
only, but on one of my other 210s I just put a set of Pirellis on it which
are higher rated slightly on Tirerack, but cheaper. Now I am seriously
thinking about trying out these Milestars which are a 50K mile tire and are
actually the highest rated tire on discount tire direct, if that means
anything. They are almost half the price than the Michelins and only 10k
mile less warranty.
