I know what you’re describing, as my 1982 300SD had the same thing. Is it possible to “re-anneal” the washer? Didn’t someone describe how to do this a while back , or was that for a copper washer?
Look at this drawing and tell me which one it is. I can check and see if my dealer stocks them - if they do and they’re cheap he’ll just give me one. http://www.mbpartsworld.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=1082551&ukey_make=1103&ukey_model=16073&modelYear=1982&ukey_category=24396 Dan > On Feb 19, 2016, at 6:51 PM, Scott Ritchey via Mercedes > <mercedes@okiebenz.com> wrote: > > This is about the hollow bolt that holds the Diesel secondary fuel filter to > the bracket.
