I am fronting a pair of 450SL cars for my indy. One is a true parts car, unless somebody can now figure out how to get it to start. It had a smoke issue. Been outside for five years and coated in moss. I have it listed at $1750
The other is a sweet car that has a new top, a bunch of great work done to make it problem free, and is a one owner car. First owner died and the car sat for years. Her kid (now grown) thought that Daddy would pay to get the car back. Dad said it was her idea, so she can pay. She could not pay. Shop owns the car, wants to break even on the $8500 in parts and labor. Comparable examples are listing in the $18k range. I put a $9500 asking price for it. Lowballers think they should get it for $4k. Without even looking at it.
