smokin? Apfel is now following the billyg track of forcing upgrades.
the first time apfel did it was when os 10.something (10.3?, 10.4?)
dropped support for non-intel processors, and that IMO was necessary.

I'm with Dan, this is nothing new, in fact Microsoft doesn't
arbitrarily force upgrades like Apple, this has been going on since
forever...
