My gf son in law has an Audi he cracked the oil pan on. With the crankcase empty, I poured a quart of lacquer thinner into the engine, and let it drain through the crack. I then pulled the oil cap and plug, and let it air dry (evaporate ) over night. I patched it with the permatex version of JB Weld and let that sit over night. Filled it with oil, and it is not leaking several months later.
Devcon would be best, if it is available.
