It is very quiet right now, no wind no rain but very tropical. I went out to get the paper this morning (they delivered it!) and could hear this rumbling which was kinda odd, then I realized it was the surf pounding on the beach a coupla miles away. Saw one car on the road, apparently leaving (Mercedes Content: it was an ML!).

Been out working, moving and tieing stuff down. Surf pounding is much louder now. I might ride my bike over to the beach in a while if it doesn't start raining, though I might get shanghaied if there are any po-po around. Plus they closed off Keewaw so the road is probably blocked for residents and beach-goers.

Gotta figure out where to put the vehicles so as to minimize tree hits. I was thinking to move them to the parking lot down at the shopping area but all those cheap crappy buildings will probably start shedding stuff in the breeze so I might just take my chances with the trees here.

Dragged the genny up onto the porch so it is close by, have about 30gal of fuel, and plenty for the chainsaw, so should be good if/when the power goes out, at least for awhile then it's pioneer time.

In good news, the barrier island Spit that the Keewaw hedge fund boys want to develop will probably get overwashed and some rural renewal action, which will be good for those of us who want to save it and keep it wild. Doing its job, what barrier islands do.

It also looks like it might loop back and come at us again early next week.

Pretty much nothing happening here in Tampa. Some rain bands heading our way,
but we have summer thunderstorms more powerful than this.

Glad to see it probably won’t cause any problems for Floyd and others up that
way.

Watch out for the drones, though. They’ll be spying on your vast estates.

I'm guessing Max, Floyd, Buggered and Rich will be ok.

Looks like the eye will pass over or very near to the vast estate, but the
winds look to be 40 to 60 knots by then, so maybe the 4-6 feet of water may be
accurate.

The interesting thing is that after tne storm encounters Floyd, Buggered and
Rich, it turns tail and heads out to sea.

Must be the encounter with a well armed, red blooded Merkun that calms the
storm.

Albore should put that in his pipe and smoke it.
