Noticed today there is no redline on my tachometer -- just where is the redline? Although I know transmission is not going to allow the engine to continue to accelerate as it nears redline (I don't think) , but I'm curious about where it is.

The redline for your engine is 5100 +/-150 rpm. The governor will hold the engine to that speed. The I, II, III marks on the speedometer are the speed limits in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears. You CAN exceed the engine speed limit if you work at it or don't attend to what you are doing, but the system will try to prevent you from exceeding the limit.

You CAN destroy the engine, but not if YOU don't permit the engine to go faster than ~5100.
