.25 is the least effective round out there, but it's better than nothing. As they say, a .25 in the hand beats a .45 back home in the safe. And in many cases, producing a firearm makes your attacker change his mind about his target selection.
I'm more concerned with the safety of loose pocket carry than with the potency of your sidearm. You don't want us to start calling you Plaxico when you shoot yourself in the leg. Get a pocket holster, or at the very least, never, ever put anything else in the pocket with the gun. https://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=497307 That said, there are two schools of thought on the matter: Get the most powerful 50 grain FMJ you can find and hope it penetrates enough to do something, or use Hornady 35gr XTP hollow points to make a larger but shallower wound channel. https://www.glocktalk.com/threads/best-25acp-defense-ammo.1647567/ > On May 12, 2017 at 7:37 AM archer75--- via Mercedes <mercedes@okiebenz.com> > wrote: > I have a Bauer (formerly Remington) 25 cal semi-automatic pistol, and hollow > point (probably jacketed) rounds.
