Actually I've been pleased at how simple and straight forward most of what I've tried to work on on this car has been. I see Mercedes Source has a manual on how to take the center console apart but 2 minutes with the HVAC guide from some link Marshall sent me gave me all I needed to know to take mine apart and figure out that the chucklehead who'd owned the car before me had left one plug unplugged in the HVAC control whatsis. I'm really only good for relatively minor repairs but I've been making more of them every year of ownership. I was looking back through the receipts for my 240D and found where I'd had my Indy change the fuel filters when I first got it. I finally got the courage to do it myself last summer, I was totally paranoid I was going to screw it up and have to bleed the injectors but everything was fine. -Curt Date: Mon, 6 Mar 2006 11:19:17 -0700 From: "Dave M." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [MBZ] *sigh* To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1
Huh? I wouldn't touch a 124 or 201 without the factory service manual, or at least the Haynes. Otherwise you could end up breaking things. ;-) -dm --------------------------------- Brings words and photos together (easily) with PhotoMail - it's free and works with Yahoo! Mail. Firefox works fine. I thought Apple dropped support for Safari a few years ago. Did I hear wrong?
