I recently discovered CCI segmented HP subsonic 22LR ammo, 40gr, 1050 fps.
Labeled "Varmint". I haven't had an opportunity to shoot a varmint with it
yet, but it clearly splits open an aluminum can filled with water much more
violently than a standard 22LR hollow point. Might be worth a try rather
than finding a new rifle . . .
