You can buy those carbs for cheap, hardly worth fooling with them. Just replace it. I discovered that on another device a coupla years ago.
A coupla weeks back my leaf blower would not turn when I pulled the starter cord. It’s a Stihl, they said if I used their synthetic oil in the fuel mix it had a lifetime warranty (or something like that). So I use the synthetic oil. It had not been sitting that long so not sure why it seized. I didn’t want to go to the hassle of fighting with them so I decided to see if I could free it up. Took out the spark plug and squirted a good dose of PB Blaster in there and let it sit for a coupla hours then gave it a pull and it spun freely. Success! It fired up after a few cranks and smoked a lot burning off the PB. I noticed the mixture adjustment screws had philips heads so got those tuned in too. Running much better now. I wish these things would just work. They are constantly problematic. Chainsaw, blower, weed whacker, all those 2-cycle things. --FT Sent from iPhone > On Mar 10, 2019, at 9:58 PM, Max Dillon via Mercedes <mercedes@okiebenz.com> > wrote: > > Last summer I rebuilt the carburator on my weed whacker, a 31cc two stroke > engine.
