I had an ER visit years ago that was not covered by health insurance, ended up with a few stitches in my thumb after I ripped off the thumbnail with a sawz-all. The doctor's cost was about $800 and the ER / hospital charge was another $1000 or so. Most painful event of my life, but the thumbnail grew back beautifully. ------------- Max Charleston SC
