Hi Bob,
I bought the 4 cylinder kit a couple of years ago for $84 - but it may have increased by now. It comes with the wiring, 4 or 5 pencil type GPs and a relay - which you won't need as it's for earlier W114/115 cars.

Just remove the old GPs and connecting wires and install new GPs and connecting wiring - you' re going from a series connection to a parralle connection - where before you'd get maybe 10v at #4 GP, then 8 at #4, 6v at #2 and maybe, MAYBE, 3v at #1, you'll get equal voltage to all 4 GPs and the new style GPs heat up faster. The curve in the WSM shows them getting to 1500F-1800F in about 15 seconds. And you'll be getting all 4 GPs hot equally. Plus, you won't have all that heavy gauge wire to heat up (it can be seen glowing red at night) You won't believe the difference and will wonder why you waited so long. It will also be less stressful on the battery IMHO.

Best to call him - he seems to have a very limited amount of stuff (compared to the total he has) on the internet catalog.

Good luck -

Sincerely,

Subject: [MBZ] Fast Glow Plugs

I can't find the fast glow plugs on Rusty's page. Am I losing it?
What would they run for my car?
(the Sr. moments are getting more frequent)
