My least favorite "feature" of phones/tablets is the "You get an update right 
now." whether I'm in the middle of something or not...

The issue I have with products like the Tesla is that they can control it 
without your approval. There are a number of documented instances when the cars 
changed hands and as a part of that process features were disabled so that the 
new owner could not access them.

You can avoid this by not allowing updates, but that’s a double-edged sword.

I own it, it’s mine, the manufacturer should not be able to change things after 
the fact.
