As my HF kit increases I'm increasingly impressed with their tools. For instance if you're still cramming a screwdriver into the caliper to push pads back you really need this: https://www.harborfreight.com/disc-brake-pad-and-caliper-service-tool-kit-11-piece-63264.html?_br_psugg_q=brake+caliper+tool
I bought it because VW rear calipers have to rotate as they get pushed back. That's not an option, you ruin the calipers if they don't rotate. You can buy a little cube thing at the autoparts store and get frustrated and chuck it across the garage or you can buy the right tool for the job. For $50 it's indispensable when required and just really good the rest of the time... -Curt On Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 11:28:17 AM EDT, dan penoff.com via Mercedes <mercedes@okiebenz.com> wrote: You guys are a bunch of lightweights. I have a HF not 5 minutes from my house. I might go there once a month. No problem getting in/out without impulse buys. I try to limit my exposure to Chinesium as much as possible. Yes, HF is a great resource, but it’s also got a lot of crap. -D > On May 3, 2023, at 8:10 AM, Kaleb Striplin via Mercedes > <mercedes@okiebenz.com> wrote: > > Yes it is > > Sent from my iPhone > >> On May 3, 2023, at 8:39 AM, Floyd Thursby via Mercedes >> <mercedes@okiebenz.com> wrote: >> >> to do otherwise is very dangerous >> >> --FT >> >>> On 5/3/23 9:31 AM, Bob Rentfro via Mercedes wrote: >>> I suppose I should browse more when I go in to HF to look for things like >>> that.
