Bob,
My drivers door was difficult to close - there's a bracket on the door post
with a hole in it for the lock mechanism on the door to fit into - mine had
some debris in the hole making the door difficult to close at time - check
that first. A few drops of some gelling oil helps to make the lock
operation easier.

Every "winter" (I, of course, use that term loosly by back east
brothers) my drivers door becomes difficult to close. I almost have to
slam it shut when temps get below 50 or so.
Try a shot of spray lube in the latch mechanism. Or it could just
be out of adjustment.
