Well after surfing around on my 114/115 MB Service Manual CD I discovered to my chagrin that the vacuum pump on my 74 240D requires maintenance by addition of oil. I cant tell from the diagram in the procedure, but it looks like you have to unbolt and remove the pump from the engine in order to access the oil fill plug. Has anyone had any experience doing this?
