You didn't end up selling it! Great move! Either a W123 or W124 300TD
Turbo Diesel will be my next Mercedes. W124 300TD's are going for at least
8K and for as much as 11K here in Portland, OR. I've even seen a few W123
'TD's for nearly that much. In top condition, my SD could fetch $5K if I
ever was stupid enough to sell it. That car will still be around since it
is quite nice, and if I actually put $3500 to have $5K invested in the car,
it would be like new! It's still old enough to be vintage and easily
repaired, and it's cushy enough and nice enough that Wifey likes it as much
as I do.
