How much is my somewhat rusty 1983 300TD with 280K miles and 3" thick service records worth? I've owned the vehicle since 89K miles and 1989.

W124 300TD's are going for at least 8K and for as much as 11K here in Portland, OR. I've even seen a few W123 'TD's for nearly that much. In top condition, my SD could fetch $5K if I ever was stupid enough to sell it. That car will still be around since it is quite nice, and if I actually put $3500 to have $5K invested in the car, it would be like new! It's still old enough to be vintage and easily repaired, and it's cushy enough and nice enough that Wifey likes it as much as I do.
