I changed one on my 300SD and it was relatively easy, on the 420SEL there was an extra brace and it took half the day. If I had to do it again I would remove the dash pad first.
Also to vacuum out the system I have used a vacuum line from the engine. That is start engine connect AC gauge to intake manifold through vacuum line and let engine run (assuming gas engine). However I now have a cheap vacuum pump powered from air compressor that I got from harbor freight for under $20. Just. I have no idea how one would actually get a wrench on it, much less two of them to crack the fittings loose. BEAST is an understatement. -- Jim _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
