And the question is......? Never mind, found the post. Emissions on the '93. Hmmmmm. Why exactly did it fail? In my state (Indiana) whether the vehicle passes or fails, you are given a sheet which tells exactly what specifications did not get met. High HC's would indicate a tune-up is in order. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, things or that nature. When were these items last replaced? Perhaps the catalytic converter is at fault. A poorly tuned vehicle can consume a cat. pretty quickly.
