When we had our pizza place (behind our sub shop) near Bradley University in
the very early '80s, we had a smallish locally made oven. I can't for the
life of me remember the name of the maker. It had a nice stone baking
surface and made nice pies. Jeez I wish I could remember what it was...

The local one in Starkville does pretty good.  Being a college town they
make plenty of Pizzas (The 555 deal is fantastic!).  There are also two
local places that have a good reputation (one with sourdough crust!),
but they can't compete with the chains as far as delivery goes.  In the
past two years both have stopped delivering...
