In the full article, the authour himself states that these high prices will help to mask inefficient drilling practices. He talks about new technologies being able to get 2/3 of the oil underground extracted instead of the 1/3 they tend to get now. Nice! I'm all for technology and efficiency! Now how about some of that for US cars, homes and businesses?? BTW, the authour of this OPINION article in the WSJ, is Manager, Reservoir Management at Saudi Aramco....think he has a vested interest? It's his opinion...this isn't fact....big difference.
