I went to school with a kit who cut off his fingers with a paper cutter. Also, a High School girlfriend was killed in a car accident - not her fault. I don't see "anti-paper cutter" or "anti driving" campaigns going on in the country.

He was probably about 12-13 years old at the time, practicing his cowboy style quick draw technique by sticking a .22 pistol in his pants pocket. One time he grabbed it by the trigger and it went bang when he yanked it out of his pocket. Put a neat little hole through his shoe and right foot. I forget what they told their mom to explain the hole. They didn't admit what really happened, although the parents accused him of shooting himself and probably didn't believe the idiot story, even with his brother to back him up on it. It's amazing that kid lived to adulthood. Back when he was in 5th grade, he and a buddy were riding two-up on a TM400 and came up behind the our school bus at 80mph and couldn't stop in time. They were probably down to 20mph or less when they hit the bus.
