Do you have pointers to by-laws of other LUGs? If so, can you send them to
the list? I'm not sure what we would include in the bylaws other than our
mission statement:

* Create a forum where current Linux users in the Mid-Hudson Valley can meet
and interact.
* Create a place for anyone interested in learning more about Linux to do so
* Strengthen communications between Linux developers in the Mid-Hudson
Valley

And our officers: Pres, VP, Tres, WebMaster, Publicist

All decisions should be made by consensus, preferably not only with the
officiers, but with the entire LUG membership as well.

And as per open source projects, actions speak much loader than words. If
you step up and organize an event, your karma (and hence ability to
influence LUG decisions) increases. :) =20

Beyond that, I feel that we can iron out anything more that we need over the
next year. I'm not sure that we will need more, but if we do, it would be
the job of the officers to create such a document and get general concensus
from the LUG membership to adopt it.

If you have other suggestions for something more formal for bylaws, please
send them to the list. All ideas are welcome.

There is no silver bullet. Plus, werewolves make better neighbors
than zombies, and they tend to keep the vampire population down.
