We're not creating MHVLUG tivo here. This is advertised as a live
stream, which is what it is. And, as I said before, this is going to be
at speaker discretion. Plenty of the speaker pool that I tap into don't
want their stuff streamed or recorded, and to keep the high quality of
speakers in the room, the streaming is always going to be a 2nd class
citizen.
Some speakers, on the other hand, might actually prefer to have it recorded, so they can use it in their own marketing materials.

Depends on who's talking, and on what level.

I agree. I've read that speaking in public is one of the top 10 human
fears, and knowing you're being recorded or streamed is probably even
worse. No point scaring off potential speakers, who are often nervous
enough as it is.
