There are requirements for Drupal http://drupal.org/requirements can you briefly go over the different versions and features. Like what you lose with a default RedHat / CentOS PHP 5.1.6-27? I see there are a lot of things required and somewhat explained but maybe with your experience with Drupal if you could go over what a Drupal developer would expect to commonly find configured on a server by the administrator (assuming they are not the same person). -- Matthias A.
