Thanks Mike. I think if I go with an Android, I will go for the data plan. I'm really tired of telling people to not text me and being disconnected if I'm not at home or sitting near a WiFi HotSpot. There really are times I'd like to get to the web or e-mail when I'm out and about.
My greatest fear is that I'll go for an Android phone that simply won't work for any length of time. A good friend in Florida got an Android on my recommendation and likes the phone but has to keep it plugged in everywhere because even with a "High Capacity" battery it dies after about 4 hours (according to him). If I can continue to work in NYC, I'll have to at least get a full day out of the battery. I also know enough to realize that phones differ in the types of screens they have but I don't know which models have the better screen. Any suggestions or gripes are needed.
