I still say try re-wiring it outside the case making sure you isolate the MB. As I have posted before I have a processional PS tester if you need to test it we can make arrangements to meet. But from what you said I don't think it's the PS, well what is the wattage? does it match the requirements of the MB? Also when you hookup the monitor to the video card does the monitor show that there is a signal? I have confidence that if you re-wire it, check the CPU and memory are correctly connected, you will get results. Hopefully the ones you are after, thus please report back =========================================== My reply: (Many times in Kmail when I select "reply" it doesn't produce the ">" chars in the message I'm replying to, I don't know why.) This afternoon I plan to try your suggestion to run the mobo outside the case. I will post the outcome. I will also check the speaker connection for polarity. I was unaware of speaker polarity, thanks for pointing it out. But even if I connected the speaker incorrectly, the LEDs on the keyboard should flash on powerup, and they did not. I first power up the monitor and it switches to "no signal". I then power up the PC. There is no change on the monitor screen or on the monitor power indicator (yellow=no signal, blue=signal. It stays yellow). The Antec PSU is 520W ATX 12v 2.x. (The mobo has ATX 12v 2.x connectors). The wattage is far greater than what I need to draw for a dual-core PC with low-end graphics card. I neglected to mention in my reply to Dragorn that for the first six months after I constructed the PC, it was powered by the Thermaltake ATX 12v 1.x PSU that now powers my secondary PC.
