I installed an alpha version on beta.mifos.org. The home page now displays a
slide show in the content area. Each slide includes a headline and an image
that are linked to another page. I've created two sample slides.
To add or edit slides, create or edit nodes of content type "Banner Entry".
When you save the entry it is automatically added to the slide show. To remove
a slide, unpublish the banner entry. (Rather than unpublishing, I should
probably set it up so that the front page shows only slides that are promoted
to the front page -- easy to do.)
To modify slideshow settings (timing, transition, etc), edit the view
"front_page_banner" and click on "style: slideshow". You will be presented with
a very large number of options to configure the show.
Let me know if this is what you're thinking of, and how you'd like to change
the look and feel of the show.
