The last snapshot I installed was pretty old (maybe from March, I
can't recall now).

I did an install, not an upgrade since my previous snapshot was fairly old.

I started building X after my post; this was my plan. So I'm building
X per normal, then I was going to go to the xenocara/xserver directory
and rebuild that with debug; and later any other modules if necessary.
If this is the wrong approach please let me know.

It is a pretty slow laptop so it takes about 5 hrs to build X. I'll
report back once I have something.
