Wow, vinyl scratching is much improved - excellent! Been playing around with it over the weekend, initially i had some speed problems in Scratch Mode but I realised i just shouldnt be using that mode with Serato vinyl. Relative mode is solid.
I see you've got the pitch and Bpm display to adjust when the vinyl pitch is adjusted, very nice. One thing though (and i don't know if it was like this before but just masked) - its like theres 'noise' on the pitch. It continually and regularly oscillates in a range between approx -0.25 and +0.25 of whatever i'm at. Is this something you're seeing too? I find it quite offputting wrt the bpm display I love the on-screen Const or Relative toggle. One other thing i'm finding odd, but maybe i need to get used to it, is that when i touch the deck to slow it down a bit, the whole waveform display 'rubberbands' (for want of a better word) - whereas before it would simply slow down a touch, making it easy to line up the beats visually. Maybe this behaviour could be toggleable? Havent tried needle skip, i don't have a problem with skipping on my setup. Great stuff, a big step forward i feel rgds Owen (another one!) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Owen Williams" <owen-b...@ywwg.com> To: <mixxx-devel@lists.sourceforge.net> Sent: Wednesday, August 25, 2010 4:44 AM Subject: [Mixxx-devel] resumed work on new vinyl control > At long last, I got off my butt and updated my features_xwax branch to > merge nicely with later versions of trunk.
