Yes, this would be an option, but I am afraid it would look cluttered, 
and the icons can't be much self explaining.
I have also thought about a right click menu "open in the left pane"
but that is hard to discover.

The other issue, you brought up in the other thread seams to be also 
still an issue.
It is hard to re-open the side bar expanded (Tree view) for a feature 
that is already visible. The user has to be careful select the library 
focus to not end up with a double AutoDJ for example.
The pined view does not help much here.

I think we have to rethink this topic again ...

If we just find a way to clarify the current implicit solution, that 
works without of a bunch of new controls.
