Cops routinely do that around here. If they're following you, they follow ON your bumper, to the point of where you can't see their headlights, even if you turn around to look. They wait for you to take off and bam, they've got you on speeding. Let me once again reiterate that cops are assholes. They should NOT be on the roads giving tickets, the state should hire people that can really spot trouble/unsafe drivers, like race officials. (maybe not to that extent, but someone who actually knows what they're doing and not hot-shot cops). Fast cars with right driver with the right experience should be exceptions, not 'examples'.
