True. One afternoon at a five way intersection, each way with a stop sign, I
had stopped. As I turned right a car was running the
stop sign. He had crossed the stop line, I slowed down almost to a stop, then
the car stopped. I proceeded along. Next thing I know
I'm getting pulled over by the car which was a cop! He claims that I did a
rolling stop and I get a ticket. He said he could see tha
never stopped. He must have had great vision because it was a chain link fence
on both sides of the road.
When we are in court the liar, um cop, denied his crossing the stop line before
he stopped, he also denied having said he could see
my tires. End result was a paid fine. I did point out to the judge that truth
didn't enter into the decision. I also told the cop
that he was a liar outside the courtroom. Luckily I haven't crossed paths with
either of them since.
It is too bad that you usually remember the asshole cops and not the majority.
