Hello Everyone! This is my first post. I've been on the list for a while and find it a valuable resource for information.
I've got a 90 16V GTI with about 260k. The last couple of days the power to most of my dash functions (wipers, headlights, fan, etc...) has been failing on me on and off. Today it's gotten worse, and none of the items mentioned above work! After making sure that battery connections were nice and snug, I came to realize that everything actually functions properly when my key is turned 95% of the way. As soon as it reaches the point before turning over, the lights and other stuff stops working. Any ideas?? is it just a faulty ignition switch?? are they adjustable?? Dan S.
