I can vouch for the 8500 on the west coast... In Cal,Wash, Ore, Nev it works flawless for me.. Saved me in my s4 several times.. my gti doesn't go that fast =o) so I don't use it in there... It doesnt show you where the signal is comming from, but IMHO, if it goes off Im slowing down anyway.. It doesn't matter "where" the signal is at that point... happy detecting- Jim Bonnet
