Being a VA resident, I don't have much experience with a radar detector but took a V1 with me to FL for the Grassroots Motorsports Challenge (more out of curiosity than anything else since we were pulling a 30' enclosed trailer).
The V1 is, as has been mentioned, "the bomb". Even with the trailer directly behind the pickup, the V1 detected rearward "threats" with surprising accuracy. What was more surprising was just how far ahead the V1 picked up radar of any sort (radar, laser, etc). For the difference in cost, go with the V1 which has tested to be the best in the market. Whenever I move out of VA (or get enough $$ to buy a detector), I'll pick up a V1. --- FLi GLi <[email protected]> wrote: > I have been and anticipate doing quite a bit of freeway traveling > from > Rochester, NY to Toronto (not so much worried about the OPP), > Northern VA by > way of NY, PA and Maryland, and Northeast OH.
