I am still driving my 87 GTI (daily driver) everyday. I bought the GTI back in 1990 from my friend (1st owner). I started to mod the car with suspension, wheel, cam, header, computer chip, then NOS. The engine got about 300,000 Km (Canadian car) in 2001 and spunk #1 rod bearing. Found a complete engine out of a Passat and rebuilt from top to bottom. Now, about 2 weeks ago, I just swap in Digi 1 ECU, will be turbo soon. Setup will be same as my friend's. He ran high 12 with his setup on street tire. One the other hand, wife is driving a 98 VR6 and a 92 GTI 16V in sitting in the garage for storage (140,000 org miles)
