I have normal watt bulbs.  I already went through that phase and came to
my senses.  We tried jumping the switch to make sure the switch was not
the problem and still could not see any current coming into the fusebox.

the switches going bad is a pretty common problem as well.  Especially
if you have high watt bulbes.
