Hi, always good to have more people! I had the solid poly mounts in my
16V Scirocco. I took them out, the vibration was terrible. In my 92
Jetta GL I used the older style solid, non-hydro, mount. It was fine.

Subject: [a2-16v-list] New to list - Introduction

Thought I'd intro myself, as I just subscribed today..

Who: Ricky

Where: Winchester, Virginia

What: 1990.5 GLi 2,0L 16v, 66,000 original miles

Why: Cuz we all need help, sometimes

I'm 38, married, two kids, and I am an old hand with VWs.. Those on the
'Vortex may know me as qwikxr..

VW History: 40+ VW Beetles (oldest was '53 RHD, 1300kms), 10-12 Mk1
GTis
(one Oettinger powered), 4 Mk2 8vs, 2 16v 2.0L GLi's,

2 Corrado G60's (one Stg3), one Passat VR6, 2 Caddys (converted one to
16v
from diesel), one Cabriolet (converted to full OBD1 2,0L ABA) and the
list
goes on.

So, now that the B.S. is over, I've got a question.. Who runs a solid
front
motormount? How asinine is it? Is the vibration inside the car really
bad?
I'm contemplating getting one, as the hydro unit is dead..

Regards,

Ricky
