Gentoo had been on my agenda for a long time to try it out...never got round to it and now it's basicalyl out of reach due to time constraints. The mailing list activity fluctuates quite a lot depending on how hot the subject being discussed is...Due to mirror failure and other personal issues most of the Mlug committee have been silent but now we're hopefully back and active.
our meetings are usually a lot of fun both for the experienced user and the beginner.. We only meet once a month so it should be a problem to attend and everything. Although we discuss a lot of serious stuff (:O) regarding activities and running of the MLUG we also tend to sidetrack quite alot about linux and OSS software or other subjects (Not the first time the meeting ended with a "my linux is kinkier than yours and keith's mac sucks [:p] tone" ) Meetings are currently held in 2 main places. The first one is Megabyte offices in Mosta technopark or at a local restaurant (Irrera, Ta' Xbiex). Second is more relaxed (and you can order food!) although first one allows me to be as loud as I wish xD P.S. I encourage more members to start attending meetings since after all they are "Society meetings!"
