TBH I don't use Pspice that much, and I'm not going to look into it now, finished its assignment. And Cadence have discontinued it. As for software required : Haskell - Ghci/Hugs work on linux Java - Works on Linux, as does Eclipse. Although Ubuntu 8.04 hasn't packaged Eclipse 3.3 yet, let alone eclipse 3.4. I use Xilinx on Linux, however, it looks hideous. It uses TCL and looks like a 95 era application. Hideous. And huge. Then there's Pspice. I'm looking forward to C#. Mono is doing a great job.
