What about OpenOffice? Is it really being included with many computers?
In Bargain magazine I often see OpenOffice being included, ostensibly
because it lowers the price.

Does anyone know what happens afterwards? Does the costumer remain with
OpenOffice or does s/he install MS Office instead?

I think if we start focusing on the application side, then we can move
on to the OS side. Make people recognise the advantages of Firefox (easy
sell, and most people already know about it), and of Open Office.
(Harder sell, for obvious reasons).

Then there's GIMP, audacity, and a host of other FOSS applications that
one could recommend
