well, I think this really depends on your situation. directive handlers are
not as robust as they could be, we all know that. but I've had
Apache::Dispatch (which uses directive handlers) running in production since
December without any issues.
bottom line is (as always) never put anything into production that hasn't
been sufficiently stressed in development.
