Who said they would have to? > So, your syntax parser engine could be the core of > Syntax::Highlight and all the specific language parser (the > grammars) could be live in Syntax::Highlight::* namespace. That's stupid. We've had a long discussion about the name, and now you want to stick it into what according to consensus is a bad namespace? Keeping backwards compatibility is a stupid reason for not fixing a mistake and an even worse reason for introducing new mistakes. If Syntax::Highlight::Perl does move to the Text::SyntaxHighlight:: namespace (which is not likely because there's not really any enforcing instance for quality - much less naming - issues on CPAN), there's *of course* going to be a Syntax::Highlight::Perl stub module that loads and redirects to Text::SyntaxHighlight::*. This argument strikes me as more than moot. -- Regards, Aristotle "If you can't laugh at yourself, you don't take life seriously enough."
