Often when a new version of a distro comes out I find myself using the nifty search.cpan.org 'diff' feature to discover precisely what's changed from the previous version. Perhaps if everybody was better at writing change-logs that wouldn't happen, but I still think leaving one previous version around is handy; it also makes it easier for people who encounter bugs to determine whether they are regressions.
