David Very little is needed in the bottom nipple, it can be seen oozing out around the bottom of the hub assembly and wiped off. In the top nipple, I put in about ten to twelve squirts using a Wanner grease gun. This fills the cavity between the top and the bottom bushes. I do the top nipples first. If new or refurbished, when the cavity is filled, it will not be possible to pull the trigger any more.
